Summer 2013 PixieDust Collection by Zoya Nail Polish

Hey everyone

Today I have a real treat for you! I'd seen swatches and the press release on the PixieDust Summer Collection and knew I had to have it. While I was using Bloglovin I saw a giveaway provided by Michelle at All Lacquered Up. I never thought I'd win, but thought it was worth a shot so I entered. I was at work right before my vacation started and got a DM on Twitter saying I was one of the winners. I was so excited. I couldn't believe it. I won! I got all 6 bottles full sized free of charge! Seriously Michelle & Zoya, my bank account thanks you guys so much! This post is going to be very picture heavy (a total of 12 photos), but you are going to love every minute of it, I promise!

I'm going to go ahead and state now that the formula on the entire collection is fantastic. I didn't have one bit of trouble with any of the polish, and I used a base coat (which they don't recommend btw). They are all true to the bottle and all by glide on your nails. Almost all of them are only 2 coats. I recommend using thin coats to achieve the best texture finish on your nails. That's why mine have 2 or 3 coats, the thinner the more likely I may have to patch up some.

The first polish I'm going to show you is Destiny. Destiny is a Reddish, Pinkish, Coralish polish. It's such a pretty color. It also has a golden shimmer that's to die for.

This is 2 swatches. So pretty. My only complaint about this polish was that it was very very hard to photograph. I couldn't seem to capture the golden shimmer at all. And if I got close the color was all wrong.

This polish I think would be perfect for your toes when you are on the beach. It's a perfect summer shade, even if I can figure out exactly what color it is. Zoya describes it as a Coral color, in case you were wondering.

Next we have Beatrix. This color reminded me so much on Tanzy from 2 summers ago, only better.

It's so bright and happy. I just love it. It has such a pretty gold shimmer. I wasn't expecting these polishes to have a shimmer, I figured that since they were matte then it would be more of a rich coloring.

This one is just so strong and bright. I love this one. It's one of my favorites. Of course when I say that I'm forgetting to mention that they are all my favorites.

Next we have Solange. I'll be honest. I wasn't not excited about this one.

And then I swatched it. Goodness. This polish is so pretty. I love how bright and shimmery it is. It's not as yellow as I was expecting.

It's more of a golden yellow. This would be perfect for going out and needing a funky polish to wear. And please excuse that dry spot on my hands. I don't know where that came from.

This next one is the main one I wanted out of the collection. I'd decided that if I could only get one, it would be this one. Meet Liberty.

A perfect 4th of July accent nail if you ask me. It's such a bold blue.

I was very worried about staining with this polish. Which is the whole reason I used a base coat (I swatched this one first and saw it didn't matter if I used a base or not), to avoid staining. But I'm happy to report that there's no staining with this polish or any of the others.

Next we have Miranda. She's Pink which is why I've included this whole post on Pink Wednesday (I'm super clever!)

This little beauty is a Rosey Pink polish. I love how shimmery it is.

The shimmer in Miranda is a pink one. I liked how it wasn't silver or gold, it gave this polish a little extra. It's darker than I expected just like Liberty. This one seems more like a fall color if I'm being honest.

Last is probably my favorite after Liberty. This is Stevie.

Stevie is a beautiful lilac color with a soft silver shimmer. This color is so pretty. I feel like you can wear it anywhere and it just works.

This one seems like a mismatched season release as well. This one would be perfect for a Spring Collection. It's just lovely.

All in all this collection is just one giant win. All of the colors are beautiful. The formulas are fantastic. Zoya really knocked it out of the park with this collection. I've tried a Milani Textures and I've seen swatches of OPI's texture collections as well. I think Zoya's is the best out of all of them. My only complaint is where is the green! They should have totally made a 7th bottle in the collection and made it a green PixieDust like Ivanka or Apple. Both amazing green colors. I want a cream finish of all of these colors as well. :D

I hope you guys liked my swatches. Please run (don't walk) and go pick up this PixieDust collection. You will not regret it one bit.
