Pink Wednesday: Ice Cream

Hello everyone

Today I have ice cream cone bowls. Why bowls you ask? My nails are short and I couldn't fit a full cone. :) I got the idea from CutePolish's drip mani, but again my nails are short, so it looked awful. I ended with just simple Strawberry and Vanilla ice cream cone bowls with a cherry on top.

What do you think? I honestly cannot remember what polish I used for these. So this is kind of a short post. But ice cream can sometimes be a short and sweet enjoyment. I hope you guys enjoyed my nails for Pink Wednesday.

Summer 2013 PixieDust Collection by Zoya Nail Polish

Hey everyone

Today I have a real treat for you! I'd seen swatches and the press release on the PixieDust Summer Collection and knew I had to have it. While I was using Bloglovin I saw a giveaway provided by Michelle at All Lacquered Up. I never thought I'd win, but thought it was worth a shot so I entered. I was at work right before my vacation started and got a DM on Twitter saying I was one of the winners. I was so excited. I couldn't believe it. I won! I got all 6 bottles full sized free of charge! Seriously Michelle & Zoya, my bank account thanks you guys so much! This post is going to be very picture heavy (a total of 12 photos), but you are going to love every minute of it, I promise!

Pink Wednesday: Pink Ladies Pledge

Hey everyone

I have a polish from my own collection to show you today. I recently came out with a Grease themed collection. Pink Ladies Pledge is my second favorite of the collection.

Pink Ladies Pledge has a light pink base with hot pink, black, and white glitter. It features bar and hex glitter of different sizes. This is 3 coats, I really wanted a glitter bomb, so I used a lot of thick coats. I hope you guys like it!

Pink Wednesday: Coral Glam

Hey everyone

I have a Pink Wednesday for you! Now this polish is called Coral Glam, but it's not very coral, it is a straight pink holographic polish. This polish is from Layla. I've never actually bough a bottle of Layla polish before because they are really expensive. Their holographic collection was $15.50 a bottle. I had honestly decided that I was probably never going to own one of their holographic polishes as sad as it made me. I just couldn't stand paying that much for polish. Not to mention that the bottle only holds 0.33 fl oz. China Glaze holds 0.50 fl oz and only cost $8 a bottle. Lucky for me I was in Ulta at the right time and happened to find my bottle buried under the Layla magnetics for $5.99.

See this is hardly a coral polish? I really loved this polish. It was much more holographic than I was expecting. I have 2 polishes from the China Glaze OMG collection and they weren't anywhere near as holographic as this polish.

Both photos show off the polish with the flash on.

Here it is with no flash and in the shade.

And in direct sunlight.

This polish was so pretty. I recommend 3 coats. The first 2 coats smooth out any streaks and the 3rd makes the holographic finish shine brighter. I think this polish is fantastic. I still wouldn't pay $15.50 for it, but it is nice.

Pink Wednesday Glitter Sandwich

Hey everyone!

I'm participating in my first Pink Wednesday! Note my banner on the side, I'm so excited. I've only ever attempted Pink Wednesday once before and accidentally posted it on Tuesday thinking it was Wednesday. Yes not my my cleaver moment. I went to my local Ulta store and found some OPI in the clearance section. I've been looking for a pretty pink Jelly finish. And I found it in OPI's Guy Meets Gal-veston which is part of their Texas collection.

This was one coat on Guy Meets Gal-Veston. I really enjoy this color, it's a brighter pink but not neon of course. I also wanted to do a Jelly Sandwich so I used my own polish (Tara's Nail Polish) called I Killed the Teen Dream.

This is 3 coats of my polish I Killed the Teen Dream (by itself). It's available at my Etsy store by clicking <<here>>.

And here it is with Guy Meets Gal-veston. I love the way this look. It's so pretty.

It's so pink and glittery and just wonderful. It's my favorite glitter sandwich I've done thus far. And it's extra special because it features my own creation. I hope you liked it and much as I did!
